Community Concert Hall at the park

Fort Lewis College’s Community Concert Hall received LTAC funding for the Free Concert Series. These free concerts have been hosted in downtown Durango since 2009. The number of concerts has grown throughout the years and is presented in Buckley Park.

In the summer of 2025, there were seven concerts, all free, in a family-friendly environment. Attendance averaged between 1,500 and 2,000. Funding was used to cover expenses for audio/sound engineer, sound equipment rental, local stagehand labor, and supervisor labor, as well as stage, park, porta-john rentals, insurance, and administrative expenses.

Performances took place on June 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24, and August 7, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 pm. Participants of all ages attended, and families highlighted planning outings around the concert series.
