The Rad Bike Art Show brings the love of cycling and art to Durango, Colorado for the month of May at the Durango Creative District. Nothing better than seeing the world bike, and the artists curated for this show have all been in love with the bike in one way or another, and now we can peep through their eyes – how they see, create, and feel cycling.
The goal of the show is to celebrate bikes and cycling of course, but more so to show how many of us are inspired by biking. This most impressive machine has brought our society so many gifts and its art – with one broad ass swoop – has delivered us so many perspectives. And in our small community here in the southwest, cycling amazingness has made its way to this Durango Creative District Community Gallery for one entire month, what an honor.
Many eyes will see this Rad Bike Art from kickoff on First Friday, May 1 to the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic in late May, however, the impetus for this show was the need to include art with a 3-day tracklocross invitational where travelers come to town and we delight them with twice daily rides and races. Days are filled with cycling, music and art. Our tracklocross event base will be this studio, with the intent to spread the seed, the good word, cycling for president in 2026.
