Deborah Kelroy received LTAC funding to support her oil painting class, "Paint like Steve Ross," which offers an accessible, community-focused art experience inspired by the techniques of Steve Ross and his father, Bob Ross. The funding covered essential expenses including a teaching/demonstration easel, art supplies, canvases, and Walmart-sourced materials to ensure students had everything they needed to participate. It also supported the rental of the VFW venue for hosting classes, an instructor to lead the sessions, and a demonstration component to enhance learning. In addition, the grant funded public-facing events such as art shows and an artist reception, including catering and the rental and setup/teardown of ProPanels to professionally display student work.
