2023 Durango Dance Summer Camp

Durango Dance received LATC funding to cover the costs of camp supplies, utilities, rental of the rec center, and five partial scholarships for their 2023 Summer Camp.

Durango Dance’s Summer Camp is a 10-week summer program that concludes each week in a free public performance at the Durango Recreation Center. During these weeks, the campers attend a 9:00 am to 3:00 pm camp filled with performing arts, crafts, outdoor adventures, and Aikido. Each week has a new theme encouraging young minds to use their imagination. Summer Camp staff includes teenagers from Durango who share their talent and choreography. Twice a week, campers go to Aikido Durango Shin-Budo Kai to be immersed in the art of Aikido. At the end of every week, performers will display their new skills and passion. Durango Dance also organizes campers available to perform at the Animas City Bazaar on July 26th and August 30th.
