EsoTerra Ciderworks received LATC funding to cover the costs of outfitting the venue with professional sound equipment, opening ourselves to allow traveling musicians to perform. And to establish the Cider and Song series, which aims to bring more Jazz, Funk, International, and Soul music to Durango, year-round.

EsoTerra established a name for itself as a destination music venue for musical stylings not found elsewhere in Durango. Musicians who play Jazz, sing Soul, or host a Funk Jam don't have many outlets for their craft in Durango. By paying fair wages for both local and visiting musicians, EsoTerra helps diversify the music options in Durango and inspire an under-tapped music scene.

Twice a month, from July to December, EsoTerra Ciderworks will provide a free-to-the-public 'Cider and Song' series for underrepresented musical genres, including Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Classical.

EsoTerra brings musicians from all over the nation who wish to play here in Durango. LATC funding allowed EsoTerra to bring them more consistently, and book significantly further out to attract more rarified talent. The funds went to outfit the current EsoTerra Location at 558 Main Ave, with professional sound equipment. The equipment selected is specific for a musician to be able to walk into our location and simply 'plug in. The funds for musicians allow EsoTerra to bring in a higher caliber of musician by being able to attract talent traveling through the area. EsoTerra continues to establish itself as a more intimate music venue in Durango.
